OnePlus is expected to launch its next suite of smartphones in March, and there have been rumors that OnePlus plans to launch three new OnePlus smartphones in March 2021, with the OnePlus 9E included as a budget option for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro.
On the one hand, the well-known Twitter handler, Digital Chat Station claims that the OnePlus 9 will have a screen size of 6.55-inch, the same as the OnePlus 8T. While the OnePlus 9 will use a 120Hz display with FHD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels), and a density of 402 PPI with an aspect ratio of 20:9.
The OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9 will have a curved display that will come with a 3.8mm hole for a punch-hole front camera, which will be located in the upper left corner of the display.
Moreover, the OnePlus 9 Pro will have the same hole size in the same location, but with a QHD+ resolution. So, it appears that the OnePlus 9 Pro’s display will retain the same key specs as its predecessor OnePlus 8 Pro, like 120Hz refresh rate, and a curved display.
Apart from this, the Digital Chat Station also claimed that the OnePlus 9 will be 8mm thick, which means it will be 0.4mm thinner than the OnePlus 8T. But, the OnePlus 9 Pro’s thickness will be identical to the OnePlus 8 Pro.
However, none of the devices will exceed the weight of 200g, both the smartphones will offer the topmost variant of Qualcomm SoC, Snapdragon 888 SoC along with a battery capacity of 4500mAh.
In short, the new OnePlus 9 series seems to be a boring update of last year’s models with little changes, and it’s really disappointing.
But, here, OnePlus has claimed that its new camera will bang the smartphone market in 2021 and will come with all the capabilities to beat the competition. So, the Chinese company, OnePlus will distinguish the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro from their predecessors with its new cameras, new boring design, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.
