We have always noted that the investment group BBK Electronics is one of the well-known investors who invest a lot in smartphone companies like Realme or Vivo.
However, until now, the brands asked about their independence of management and lines of development. As officially, Oppo and OnePlus have confirmed that they will unify their efforts in the Research and Development department.
In practical terms, SuperVOOC 2.0 and Warp 65 technology, both 65W are the same under different names. In fact, we can use the charger and cable of an Oppo mobile with an OnePlus to obtain the same result.
In Oppo’s words, the relationship between Oppo and OnePlus becomes similar to what the relationship between Xiaomi and Redmi has been.
At an official level, both companies merged their R&D departments into one that will depend on Oppo. And the workers hired by that department will now be converted to Oppo workers, not OnePlus.
Here’s the statement that Oppo has published through it has confirmed this news:-
To maximize the resources and enhance OnePlus’ position for growth, we are in the process of integrating R&D departments at OPLUS, our long-term investor. OnePlus will continue to operate independently and work to provide the best user experience for existing and future OnePlus users.
According to the employees at Oppo, this unification began to take place last December and is now completed as the final deal. While Oppo and OnePlus are part of OPLUS, an entity that seeks greater integration between Oppo, Realme, and OnePlus.
Apart from this, it is also known that the software development will remain independent so that Oxygen OS and Color OS will continue to maintain their differences and functionalities.
